Town Manager
Brunswick’s Town Manager serves as the chief administrative officer of the Town of Brunswick, and is appointed by and under the direction of the Town Council.

Assessing
The Department determines assessed values on all residential and commercial real estate and personal property, and maintains all Town ownership and assessment data for the purpose of annual tax bills.

Brunswick TV3 is a Government and Public Access facility cable casting on Comcast Channel 3, operated by the Town of Brunswick, Maine for the benefit and use of our residents and non-profit organizations.

Coastal Resources
The Town of Brunswick Coastal Resource Office is a branch of the Planning Department and works closely with the Town’s Environmental Planner. The Coastal Resource Office is responsible for the management and oversight of the Municipal Shellfish Program, Municipal Aquaculture Program, and the Coastal Waters Program. The Coastal Resource Office is a part of towns development review team.

We maintain and manage 42 parks, facilities and public spaces in our community, and administer approximately 100 recreation programs and events annually.

The Department of Planning and Development is responsible for a wide variety of municipal activities, including Comprehensive Planning, Downtown and Neighborhood Planning, Zoning Ordinance Amendments, Development Review, Village Review District Design Review, Natural Resources, Sign/Building/Plumbing/Electrical Permits, as well as enforcement of the Town of Brunswick Zoning Ordinance rules and regulations.
